What our murderous thugs-in-uniform have done in Iraq: Putting it in perspective…

On my old site I had a sidebar article on what has been done to the Iraqi people.

I used the Lancet figures of, IIRC, 655,000 dead Iraqis. It’s hard to imagine that many dead people, so I came up with this:

Assume an average corpse length of 5′.

655,000 dead people x 5 feet = 3,275,000 feet total.

Divide that by 5280 (feet per mile) and that comes to 620.26 miles.

You could walk 620.26 miles on corpses laid head to toe, and never put your feet on the ground.

And for what, exactly???

Now, how many have we murdered in Afghanistan? Anyone know?

Of course, that does not include the 500,000 dead Iraqi kids we murdered through sanctions.
