They love the First Chimp in China

May 15, 2010, when visiting Xi’an Beiyuanmen, I met with U.S. President “Obama” wearing Chinese military uniform. The picture “Obama” painted on the white and gray T-shirt wearing the green military uniforms of 1960s or 1970s and the red star. The lapel badge is hung on both sides, Chairman Mao’s autograph “serve the people” was painted below. The styling is particularly attractive, and such shirt is quite creative.

‘I’m a Marxist’ says Dalai Lama, but agrees capitalism has helped China

TIBETAN spiritual leader the Dalai Lama says he’s a Marxist, yet credits capitalism for bringing new freedoms to China, the communist country that exiled him.

“Still I am a Marxist,” the exiled Tibetan Buddhist leader said in New York, where he arrived today with an entourage of robed monks and a heavy security detail to give a series of paid public lectures.

“(Marxism has) moral ethics, whereas capitalism is only how to make profits,” the Dalai Lama, 74, said.

I found that last sentence to be most “enlightening”. They have “ethics”. How wonderful.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The government has accused Goldman Sachs & Co. of defrauding investors by failing to disclose conflicts of interest in mortgage investments it sold as the housing market was faltering.

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced Friday civil fraud charges against the Wall Street powerhouse and one of its vice presidents. The agency alleges Goldman failed to disclose that one of its clients helped create — and then bet against — subprime mortgage securities that Goldman sold to investors.

Investors in the mortgage securities are alleged to have lost more than $1 billion, the SEC noted.

The Goldman client implicated in the fraud is one of the world’s largest hedge funds, Paulson & Co., which paid Goldman roughly $15 million for structuring the deals in 2007.

Goldman Sachs shares fell more than 10 percent after the SEC announcement.

The civil lawsuit filed by the SEC in federal court in Manhattan was the government’s most significant legal action related to the mortgage meltdown that ignited the financial crisis and helped plunge the country into recession.

Crash and burn, motherfuckers!

What our murderous thugs-in-uniform have done in Iraq: Putting it in perspective…

On my old site I had a sidebar article on what has been done to the Iraqi people.

I used the Lancet figures of, IIRC, 655,000 dead Iraqis. It’s hard to imagine that many dead people, so I came up with this:

Assume an average corpse length of 5′.

655,000 dead people x 5 feet = 3,275,000 feet total.

Divide that by 5280 (feet per mile) and that comes to 620.26 miles.

You could walk 620.26 miles on corpses laid head to toe, and never put your feet on the ground.

And for what, exactly???

Now, how many have we murdered in Afghanistan? Anyone know?

Of course, that does not include the 500,000 dead Iraqi kids we murdered through sanctions.

Collateral Murder. From wikileaks

SOURCE

WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad — including two Reuters news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded. For further information please visit the special project website www.collateralmurder.com.

Jew pig wails “‘I was stabbed in the back,’ says soldier who used human shield in Gaza

SOURCE

The trial began on Wednesday for two Israel Defense Forces soldiers suspected of using Gazan children as human shields during Israel’s offensive in the Gaza Strip in 2008, according to Channel 10.

The soldiers, who breached the army’s rule against using civilians as human shields during war, are tried for violating IDF authority and for inappropriate conduct.

“I feel hurt and betrayed. It’s a shame it even got to this point. The government needs to understand who works for it and who works against it,” said one of the soldiers. “I was working for the government, and it stabbed a knife in my back.

The soldiers, who served as staff sergeants in the Givati Brigade during Operation Cast Lead, allegedly forced a 9-year-old Palestinian boy to open a number of bags they thought might contain explosive materials. The bags turned out to be harmless.

I fired through a suppressor like they had at that range, except it was made of tires.
